Our Nursery

Welcome to Handprints Day Nursery & Preschool.

We follow the Curiosity Approach, creating a rich, hands-on learning experience through authentic resources and open-ended play. This encourages children to develop independence, creativity and confidence at their own pace.

Our experienced and caring team is made up of highly trained early years professionals who are passionate about giving every child the best start in life. With qualifications from Level 3 in Childcare to Level 5, our staff bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the nursery. They regularly take part in ongoing training and CIPD to stay up to date with the latest approaches in early education, safeguarding and child development. By understanding each child’s unique needs and interests, our team creates a nurturing environment where every child can feel secure, valued and inspired to grow.

Ofsted (2022 Report)

"Staff support children to develop their physical skills in a variety of ways. Babies laugh with delight as they crawl after balloons. They watch as staff send balloons into the air, reaching their arms up to catch them as they fall. Toddlers notice the marks that they make as they paint. They tell staff 'that's my daddy' as they use brushes with control to paint circles."
